As Anne at work said " I haven't blogged for awhile" we have been pretty busy. Frank drove down from Port Townsend in route to Illinois and points east. He left his car here for safekeeping and will pick up on Tuesday 10/13 on his way back to Palm Springs. He had a great two day visit with mom. He brought out old pics and scrapbook that belonged to Aunt Dorothy. They had a grand time plowing thru it all thanks to Nancy who thought they might enjoy that. Mitch got to test drive the Jag and pick up starbucks on the morning coffee run.
Heather came up right after Frank left, barely had time to change the sheets... she was up to continue studies in Santa Rosa , had a five day class. so we got to spend lots of time with her and good to catch up on everything that is new and exciting in her life. Mom, Mitch, Heather and I got out to dinner at Nona's on Pedro Point one night for dinner. Mom fidgeting and took a trip to the car to lay down while we waiting for her dinner to be served. She is a much better companion at lunch, but by diinner she is just too uncomfortable. Heather will return on Nov 18 for big family gathering up here (I'll get the week off from work - yippee).

Mom's blood test came back good and she got a flu shot last week... everything is fine. She seems to be taking her pain med every twelve hours but that is what they are there for. As long as she takes them regularly she functions, is alert and happy and still collaging her pictures. She watched and supported me, this week, while I was busy with the Mizpah Annual Quilt show at the Sanchez Adobe, which I co-chair. She even attended for a few hours with a little arm twisting. Here she is below, with Jeanne and one of Jeanne's creations over her head. We have several of Jeanne's quilts and could put on a show of our own.... you can see lots of them hanging on the banister at the exhibit. I just love staging the event and doing all the little detail work to make this a fund raising success. All the funds we raise go back into the Pacifica Community and high school scholarship fund each year. Nancy, Melinda and Kelli all bought a chance on the raffle quilt and will be anxious to know if they won or not (Sunday afternoon at 4:00 is the drawing) The event keeps us all busy and what a great group of friends we have.
The Sanchez Adobe Oct 10-11 Mizpah's Annual Quilt Exhibit. Many of Grandma Hill's quilts are on display each year.
