Memorial Weekend 2010 - Meeting Aiden!

Aiden, Mom and Dad

Great Grandma CC and Aiden

Had a terrific weekend down in Coarsegold... got to meet Aiden for the first time. All the Hummans were there and the Kerns came up also - so Kylie was there too. Took mom to the Peddler Faire and she sat in a shady area with lots of activity around her. Everyone kept coming back to check on her while we all did our antique shopping. I got a couple of cool pottery vases that went up on the living room shelf top and an old chopper that went up on the kitchen cabinet top and of course Kettle Corn! Had a wonderful dinner on Sunday night and everyone pitched in and was assigned a chore . The dogs had a great romp and Jones is tuckered out tonight. Gary came over this a.m. and helped get sprinkler set up for summer to keep the garden green. Joanna came over and helped in the house to get is ready for next guests.

Only 1/2 gallon red paint left now!

Took my BD off from work and took mom to Dr's appointments. What better way to honor the one you gave you birth then to make sure she is healthy and can celebrate her next BD? - Good check up Blood test took awhile to get flow out (cause she is dehydrated... doesn't drink enough fluids - we are all quilty of that). Then a trip up to VA Hospital for ultrasound on left leg... foot swells so looking for any blood clots... he found a couple and marked but I don't think much to worry about. Mitch and I had dinner out at Go Sushi, I had one warm sake with dinner and he grabbed the keys from me and drove home- "so proud of him"! And all the girls at Mizpah (evening meeting) sang, and Michael came down and accompanied on the piano... Thanks to everyone.

This weekend took mom down to Candis to see her new automatic wheel chair while I ran some errands. This Sunday I painted all day. - Mom finally came looking for me, not when I got phone calls... only when she was hungry... Like I said only have 1/2 gallon left. but enough red for 752... may take the rest down to YLP for the decks down there. I'm going to stain those chairs and deck - maybe next weekend.

Happy Mother Day 2010

She is still sleeping in today. I'll feed her eggs benedict for breakfast. She has been celebrating all week long, got fresh paint on patio set, a couple on new chairs and tables came in yesterday and flowers, new bathroom assessories last weekend at the Senior Center Spaghetti Feed Auction and a new thimble display case which she will reorganize today. Gary coming up at noon to take her to lunch - surprise. Hope he dressed warm! Chilly here today. He'll also check in on Candi.

I'm hoping Mitch has a few plans for me... if not, I'll have him doing chores for me all day, my reward and I have plenty for him! Mom sure loves this outfit Etta got her for Christmas (she is such a good shopper) - it keeps her so warm.

May 3 - Welcome New Great Grandson

Here is Aiden - Picture is next to mom's big chair - will take a while for it to sink in... keeps asking who is this. Perhaps after she meets him in person.
